Funky Farm

Dirty Ducks are no strangers to Revealed Recordings, having released ‘Equinoxe’ via the label’s recent ADE sampler, as well as ‘Lockdown’ with LoaX and Nova on this year’s Revealed Miami sampler, adding to multiple outputs on imprints such as Bingo Player’s esteemed Hysteria. This time, the pair join forces with emerging talent and Revealed debutant Holly, to give us ‘Funky Farm’, a track at home across both festivals and club spaces that is set to propel both the acts to new heights heading into 2018. 

The track instantly provides a throwback to rave days gone by, as an amen-style jungle breakbeat is introduced, that sets out the track’s groovy nature from the start. Soothing, pitched vocals usher in a more relaxed aesthetic, which lulls the listener into a false sense of security before the drop hits home hard. A hardstyle kick pounds through, as the vocal heads into a glitchier territory, accompanied by a ripping reese tone. This again makes way for blissed out high register piano notes, which are joined by a full breakbeat section that ensures ravers worldwide are always kept on their toes with ‘Funky Farm’.

With collective support on previous tracks from the likes of David Guetta, Afrojack andSICK INDIVIDUALS, it is clear both Dirty Ducks and Holly are carving out their own route into dance music’s higher echelons.
